The Publication of the North University Centre of Baia Mare, Series D, Mining, Mineral Processing, Non-Ferrous Metallurgy, Geology and Environmental Engineering Bulletin started in 1991.
Historically this publication is a continuation of volumes published by the Pedagogical Institute for 3 years and the Institute of Higher Education in Baia Mare. Each of them edited a magazine every year since 1963 that in 1976.
Subjects are related to the fields of mining, minerals processing, non-ferrous metallurgy, electromechanical mining, civil, industrial and agricultural constructions, geology. Since 1995 has been published in the fields of environmental engineering, and since 2002 papers in geodesy.
The quality of the Scientific Bulletin has been continuously improved and since 2008 the Scientific Bulletin is published entirely in English.
Scientific Bulletin role in the scientific community in Romania is of great importance because it is one of the few journals in the fields of mining and minerals processing, environmental studies, Science and Technology Studies. Our Scientific Bulletin facilitates also the exchange of ideas, informations and experience between specialists all over the world in fields of interest for the bulletin.
The Editorial Board encourages the access to publication of research results for young researchers, master or PhD students.
Since first number in 1991, the periodicity of the Scientific Bulletin was bi-annual and continuous.
Currently the Scientific Bulletin Series D, Mining, Mineral Processing, Non-Ferrous Metallurgy, Geology and Environmental Engineering is recognized by CNCSIS as a B+ category magazine.
